As suggested - change mic.


Thing with E51 microphone is a bit tricky....

Since is placed with it's back on PCB, unlike SE K750 which is placed with front, but pcb is hollow so it can recept soundwaves trough it.

This have following repercusion:

1. when you heat desired element (mic in this case) on a E51 - you b.l.o.w hot air directly (o.k. not exactly) to mic "membrane"...

2. which is not the case on a SE K750 for example. (you heat the back of mic housing, and solder is on front - facing PCB)


Friend of mine, who work in Nokia SC have trouble changing it, even with IR welder.

So.., if you aren't perfectly skilled with HotAir station, don't try it.... (sorry)


P.S. mods... - what is wrong with verb "B.L.O.W" ???!?

mic will work but not if you change with hot air gun....use jumpers to connect it to pcb verry easy but tricky at the begining
