Just a thought guys, but I know 4 people whop in the past 6 months have had their IMEI changed to ??????????????? on their Nokia phones for no apparent reason and they have had the phone repaired at Nokia service crentre.
My mate who had this problem told me they said the IMEI had to be written to uem because it had been wiped off its memory.
NOW, if this is happening, then surely there must be a method to wipe the IMEI from the uem without changing it?? And simply write IMEI to existing chip??
I know it's read-only, but surely there is a way??
I did ask my friend what he did just before this happened, and he said all he did was plug in his mains charger, then put the battery in his 6510 and it beeped. After charging, IMEI was ???????????????
Your thoughts would be welcomed...............
