funny enough i bought a pdk1 off a freind for 5 pounds to rebuild imei on dct4

@ YamahaR1 ,
PKD-1 alone, CAN NOT REBUILD IMEI FOR DCT4 , even it cost
$50 / 50 pounds !

Hi everyone,
It's true there are different types of PKD1's.
I've got two and when installing phoenix for example you
get different options available (or not) ;) depending on the dongle.
So I can't tell if IMEI rebuilding is done with only a PKD1 (tried it
with both dongles and didn't work) but if you try to do it with
Phoenix it comes back with a message the phone doesn't go into
flashmode and then stops with an error.
(local mode is shown on the display and I think it has to go blank)
just my 2% of it :rolleyes:

Are you using FLS4 flash dongle?
FLS4 flash dongle,,, from NOKIA original ONLY ALLOW FLASH PHONE !
no others menu !
but it can be modify to full menu as PKD-1 !
but it CAN NOT REBUILD IMEI TOO !

Nope, just have PKD's no FLS-4s
Test was done with the latest phoenix A7 2003.9.7.8.
Note for this release:
- PKD-1 Dongle with 5 digit serial number does not work when it is connected to parallel port with the FPS-8* Flash Prommer. Phoenix does not recognize the dongle and Phoenix will not start. The solution is to change your dongle to a new one with 6 digit serial number.

this happens only on some(newer) mainboards, but this problem can also be solved by modifying the dongle(hardware).

Correct , i agree with you , that PKD-1 old V6.1 or 5.1 HW version can be modify to set for FPS8 !
