n e one know of any sharp gx series software and to use it via infrared and is this possibloe could some one please reply to this asap :D

All necessary drivers come in the sales package of your sharp. Otherwise you cna download modem drivers from www.sharp-mobile.com/europe/uk/downloads/downloads.asp.

ok sorry peeps im a dumb *** ok i got the driver but when the wizard is going through i know where the file is but cannot acces it :P
i dunno y do i have to burn the driver on a cd or what ?

Strange, I have tried executing the wizard from both cd and file, and it worked without a problem, tested with w98se.
Maybe your "drivers\win98se" or equivalent folder is not in the right place. The setup.exe has to be in the root folder:
...\sharpdriver\setup.exe
...\sharpdriver\drivers\win98se\mdmtq.inf
...\sharpdriver\drivers\xxxxx\mdmtq.inf

wheni extract the zip file i get error message !
C:\Documents and Settings\*****\Desktop\****\New Folder\GX1_Modem_Driver.lzh: The archive is corrupt
!
C:\Documents and Settings\*****\****\New Folder\GX1_Modem_Driver.lzh: CRC failed in CD-ROOT\instmsiw.exe. The file is corrupt
is this the problem :P

also when i open the INSTMSI file i get an error WRONG OS OR OS VERSION FOR APPLICANT!
What is the meaning of this :P
