here's some more info on this.

SPH-WP10
- Watch Phone
2001 Guinness Book of World Records (Smallest Wrist Watch Phone)

Size(mm) 67*58.5*20.5

Weight(g) 50

Product History
Wrist watch design applied to 1999 CDMA technology to create the world's smallest, lightest mobile phone

- Entered into the 2000 Guinness Book of World Records as the world's smallest wrist watch phone

The SAMSUNG Anycall Watch Phone (SPH-WP10) is the world’s smallest and lightest phone, combining wrist watch design with CDMA technology. The Watch Phone offers both digital watch and mobile phone functions. Like James Bond in 007, who used his multi-function wrist watch to escape from dangerous situations, the Watch Phone is a new watch for the new millennium, with functionality and modern design in mind.

A wrist watch phone was developed by Japan's NTT Tokomo last year, but with standby time lasting only 30 minutes, the phone was only used as demonstrations during the Nagano Winter Olympics. SAMSUNG's Anycall Watch Phone is the first wrist watch-type phone available commercially.

The Watch Phone was designed using the smallest duplex, baseband analog processor, and antennae available, weighing only 39 grams (50 grams including battery). It boasts a tiny 67 * 58 * 20mm in size, an impossible feat for any standard mobile phone. This product has been evaluated as a "landmark product in the mobile market competition for smaller, lighter mobile phones."

Despite its small size, the battery life for the Watch Phone is comparable to standard mobile phones, with 90 minutes of talk time and 60 hours standby time. More than 30 convenient features offered on other standard mobile phones are also available, including voice dialing, phone book, hands-free options, and a vibration mode. Using a graphic LCD screen, each feature's usage status is expressed through animations.

Why do you say that? It's a Samsung phone with GSM/GPRS capability. I dont see why the OFF TOPIC FORUM is more appropriate.
