View Full Version : sl45 freezes/shut after patching
hello from greece.i have a big problem after upgrading my sl45 from FW52 to FW56 and using patces with vklay.i have done several changes (patches) and evrything looked ok.after aplying a .vkp called screen style images as a screen saver when key pad is locked or something like that i do not have access to mp3 player,agenda (phone shuts down) and the archive of calls that freezes the phone.if helps i have used these patches
1: 1_graphical menu.vkp
2: 2_graphical menu.vkp
3: vibra icon modification
4: band selection
5: doing something else while playing mp3
6: insert timbre options for mp3 player
7: modify multiline indicator to become vibra indicator
8: screen style images as a screen saver when key pad is locked
not at once but one each time and undoing the previous..if anyone can help please send an answer to my email or at the forum.thanks in advance

I hope you made a backup before applying patches...
Flash backup, put it has it was before.
Now apply one patche at a time...
I also had some problems before by patching...
Possible cause of this is, for ex:
Patch XXX
A1 B2 C3 -> A3 B2 C1
Maybe the values of your flash wasn´t A1 B2 C3, so now pacth won´t work ok, or bring problems to phone...
thank u for the answer drug_store.i have made once again the upgrade to v56 and everything came back.it took me 2 hours of living in horror:)

Why don't You update again to firmware 56??it will delete old dirty data/
And then start patching again!

i have done that.upgrade to v56=update.and yes old dirty data have gone and the java was there without java enabler to be used for second time
