I hear to my friend thet on the 32MB MMC could by more Mp3 files. I knew i must change mp3 with 44Mhz for 22MHz but i don`t knew whot program i must do this. Could you tel my whot i must do???

you can use the "StreamBox Ripper".... I have it and works fine but I do not know where you can download it...
Anyway, if you use 22Mhz, the quality of your songs will not be fine....

Personally I use lame (http://lame.sourceforge.net/) to convert mp3s (or wavs, or whatever) to tighly encoded mp3. It is Linux-based software, but I'm there are some Windows ports (see links)
It can convert 44.1kHz -> 22.05kHz but I don't use it this way (I hate space/quality trade offs like this), it can reduce bitrate to whatever you like, etc. But that's if you are desperate (I mean: you want to sacrifice a bit of quality for a bit of space).
The way I use lame is different. I use it with variable bitrate encoding together with alternative Psycho model (the model of your ear, which frequencies may be safely cut out while retaining others). The average bitrate of the result is about 80 kbit/s, but the quality is comparable with 128kbit constant bit rate (at least to my ears); surely WAY better than 96 kbit/s, and slighly better than 112kbit.
It is not used by default, you have to enable it with "--nspsytune" option. But it's worth it!
I use it like this:
lame -V9 --nspsytune in.mp3 out.mp3

Yeah... ;) Usually I recommend tu use CDEX 1.40 and to encode any song in WINDOWS MEDIA CODEC, MP3 high quality @ 56 Kbits , stereo and 22 KHz. It's wonderful ! :eek: A song of 2 minutes will be about 1 Mb or less, and the audio quality while listening an MP3 on SL45i will be great and very fine... :cool: :cool: :cool:
...And I recommend do not f**k the music quality, but by 64Mb card as a minimum, if You can by that kind of mobile, then You can by MMC too... :))
If You take a little bit of time, and read about music compressing process... So DONT tell me that @56Kbit it can sounds wonderfull...

One more good solution: to replace original headphones with SONY GROOVE, or COSS THE PLUG... That kind of sound quality on SL45 with it`s integrated lame encoder is fantastic...
Lame encoder/decoder is an open source decoder, maded in Germany, so thats why Siemens is choosed it for SL..
I mean that SL45 haz integrated lame mp3 encoder, and mp3 converted vith LAME gives to You best solution + sound quality..
Of course You can choose another codecs, it is up to You, I just share all I know about it..

With Lame encoder, SL45 does not display the lenght time of the song correctly.
I have seen that bug also :) Some times it not show songs lengh at all :)
But it`s depend not of Lame (or maybe it is??), donno from what, but seems it will be corrected in new released patch :) I know shorely that last Lame Codec is with many little bugs.. But still Open source :).. So don`t woner :).

Bah, I'm not a DJ so I'll continue to use my Media Codec @ 56 Kbits :D Perhaps the sound will no wonderful but for me there's no longer difference ;) :o The sound will not be the optimal but I don't want to take away other money for a new MMC :confused: :( :p
And what about other Multimedia??? Don`t You read e-books, watch cartoons, Java applets??? There are lot of free time (when I go to/from work) So I use my old (I was byed my SL about 2 Years ago $530) friend SLIK every free minute... :)
By the way, what kind of music do You prefer with that quality?? :)
Is it classic, rap, or some kind of trance house techno??
