View Full Version : New version SIM-EMU 6.00 for GreenCard 2/GreenCard/SilverCard (RELEASED)
This new version is for the card GreenCard 2 (16F876/24LC256), that has the same PIC that the Silver/Green, but with the double of external EEPROM that the GreenCard, and it is programmed with the same devices that for the previous versions.
But also it is valid for the SilverCard (16F876/24LC64) and for the GreenCard (16F876/24LC128) configuring the flash file for each one of these cards using a configurator program.

IMPORTANT
The day May, 10 of 2003 has been finalized my commercial agreement with UCABLES, reason why the product SIMCARD8 or any other product, it cannot be commercialized if the SIM-EMU is included.
This means that all product that is being commercialized with the SIM-EMU prerecorded in anyone of its versions, will be becoming without my consent.

NEWS
. Valid for the 3 cards (SilverCard, GreenCard and GreenCard 2)
The flash file (SIM_EMU_FL_6.00_xxx.hex) comes preconfigured for the GreenCard 2, but with the SIM_EMU_6.00_CFG.exe program it is possible to change the type of card to SilverCard or to GreenCard.
. 10 available positions instead of the 8 of the previous versions
These positions, by simplicity, now are numbered from 0 to 9.
. 99 SMS's máximos
This maximum value can be configured with the SIM_EMU_6.00_CFG.exe program prior to the recording of the flash. This maximum value can be reduced later from the own mobile, but never to a greater value to this maximum. As the flash comes preconfigured for GreenCard 2, the default value is 99.
. 254 ADN's
This maximum value can be configured with the SIM_EMU_6.00_CFG.exe program prior to the recording of the flash. This maximum value can be reduced later from the own mobile, but never to a greater value to this maximum. As the flash comes preconfigured for GreenCard 2, the default value is 254.
. 254 FDN's
This maximum value can be configured with the SIM_EMU_6.00_CFG.exe program prior to the recording of the flash. As the flash comes preconfigured for GreenCard 2, the default value is 222.
. Configurator program SIM_EMU_6.00_CFG.exe
With this program is possible to configure any language flash file, the type of card, the maximum amount of ADN's, the maximum amount of SMS's and the maximum amount of FDN's.
IMPROVEMENTS IN THE INTEGRAL SECURITY:
. Protection of the flash
Activating the protection of last 256 bytes of the flash, obtains that it is impossible to write the flash again without making a total erasure. With this we obtained that it is impossible to write a special program that is able to read our KI's located in the internal EEPROM.
. Correct management of the files protected by PIN
From this version, it is not possible to read, through GSM commands, no file that is protected by PIN without the previous authentication of the PIN.
. Possibility of deactivate/activate the "Sel.Phone #" menu
Using the PIN2, this menu can be deactivated or activated. In order to change of position having this menu deactivated, it is necessary to use the Reset option or powering off and on the mobile with the corresponding PIN1.
. Possibility of deactivate/activate the internal Loader
Using the PIN2, the internal Loader can be deactivated or be activated. If the Loader is deactivated, it is not possible to read the external EEPROM, without making a prior total erasure of the flash.
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS:
. Compatibility with new models of Panasonic and SAGEM, this last one pending of verification.
Compatibility enhancements with some models of Panasonic (GD87) and SAGEM.
. Better compatibility with the GSM Programmer
Compatibility enhancements with this device and soft.
. PIN deactivation option, activating one of the positions by default
To deactivate the PIN and that the mobile begins in one of the active positions, it is necessary to enter in the desired position and to deactivate the PIN from the security menu of the mobile using the PIN that corresponds to the actual position. From that moment, whenever the mobile is power on, it will enter in this defined position. In order to activate the PIN again, it is necessary to enter in the security menu of the mobile from any position, and to activate the PIN using the PIN of the current position.
. Edition of the position's description from any position
The edition of the description of the defined positions can be done now from any position, asking previously the position desired.
. Modification of the behavior of the change of the amount of SMS's from the mobile
The modification of the number of SMS's that is made through the menu of the Sim-Emu or with the corresponding SMS's format, does not delete the totality of the SMS's UNLESS the same number of SMS's is indicated that was defined previously.
IMPORTANT
This version requires that the SIM_EMU_EP_6.00.hex file is written due is incompatible with the external EEPROM of previous versions. For this reason it is necessary, if they are desired to conserve the data of the phonebook and SMS's, to do one previous save of these data in the PC with scripts that I offer. After the programming the card, to recover the data saved with scripts.
The menus are structured in the following way:
Sim-Emu 6.00x
1)Sel.Phone #
2)Configure
3)Information
4) Reset
The option 1) is to change of position to anyone of the active ones selecting the number wished from a list. This option will not be visible if it has been deactivated.
The option 2) is to configure the Sim-Emu and it has the following options:
2.1) Edit #
It allows to assign a description of up to 16 characters to any position. This description is used to create the list of available numbers. First it asks for the position that is wanted to edit, a number from 0 to 9, and then the desired description.
2.2) Config.Pos.
It allows to configure the specified position with the IMSI/KI/PUK and PIN data. By security, first it asks for the PIN2 and then, the Position, IMSI, KI, PUK, and PIN data.
Posición:
A number between 0 and 9
IMSI:
A number with length of 18 decimal digits, the 2 first always "08"
KI:
A number with length of 32 hexadecimal digits (0 - 9 and A - F capital)
PUK:
A number with length of 8 decimal digits (0 - 9)
PIN:
A number with length between 4 and 8 decimal digits (0 - 9)
2.3) Config.SMS
It allows to configure the amount of SMS. By security, first it asks for the PIN2 and then, the amount of desired SMS's, a number between the 1 and the maximum pre-configured. If the same number is configured as previous one, all the SMS's stored are deleted, otherwise it only truncates the SMS's if it is configured reducing the amount of SMS's, but it leaves them intact if it is configured increasing it.
2.4) Config.ADN
It allows to configure the amount of ADN. By security, first it asks for the PIN2 and then, the amount of desired ADN's, a number between the 1 and the maximum pre-configured. This operation truncates phonebook entries if it is configured reducing the amount of ADN's, but it leaves them intact if it is configured increasing it.
2.5) PIN2/PUK2
It allows to change the values of the PIN2 and the PUK2. By security, first it asks for the PIN2 and then, the new PUK2 and PIN2 data.
PUK2:
A number with length of 8 decimal digits (0 - 9)
New PIN2:
A number with length between 4 and 8 decimal digits (0 - 9)
2.6) Sel.Phone #
It allows to deactivate/activate the possibility of position changes from menu "Sel.Phone #". By security, the PIN2 is asked for to confirm the action.
2.7) Loader
It allows to deactivate/activate the built-in Loader necessary to access to the external EEPROM. By security, the PIN2 is asked for to confirm the action. If it is deactivated, it is not possible to read the external EEPROM without a previous full erase of the flash.
2.8) Erase Pos.
It allows to delete the indicated position. By security, first it asks for the PIN2 and then, the position that is wanted to delete, a number from 0 to 9 except the corresponding to the current position.
The option 3) give us information about the Sim-Emu and it has the following options:
3.1) Actual Nr.
It shows the selected position with its associate description.
3.2) Configuration
It shows the actual configuration of SIM-EMU. For example, if we have 40 SMS, 250 ADN, active positions 1, 2 and 4 and the PIN deactivated in position 2, it shows the following:
SMS/ADN: 40/250 Active Nrs: 1(2)-4
3.3 Version
It shows the current version of SIM-EMU.
3.4 Author
It shows the name of the author, the Web site and email address where to find him.
The option 4) Make a phone reset and ask the PIN again

PIN2 is to authenticate the message.
It is a number with length between 4 and 8 decimal digits (0 - 9)

n is the position of the phone number to update.

IMSI is the value of the IMSI to store.
It is a number with length of 18 decimal digits, the first 2 always "08".
Example: 081234567890123456
KI is the value of the KI to store.
It is a number with length of 32 hexadecimal digits (0 - 9 and A - F capital).

PUK is the value of the PUK to store.

I got some kind of special request :
Is there any simple modifications to this code so that it could be possible to receive calls but never call anybody.
My point is that I'm currently building a fixed phone on a motorcycle setup. So this brand new version 6 give me the option to deactivate the initial PIN, but for security reasons I'm trying to find a solution where this Sim could not place a call (in case of somebdy stealing it..) and of course not using the operator fonctions but only the SimEmu fonctions.
It could give a setup where the phone will start and stop automaticly with absolutly no manual intervention and then receive incomming calls. Staying thieves proof because being not able to place any calls, allowing me not to change my Sim (and of course IMSI & KI) if some thing bad happened.
Anyway thanks a lot it's a real nice job.

uhm it's WEIRD here
here's my experience
I have been able to write the SIMEMU 6.00s (after modifying the SMS etc. values with the configurator) and to insert first two IMSI/KI couples
then I went to simemu menu and selected "restart"... the phone froze on the "updating sim..." screen... I removed battery, put it back on and now it says "sim card rejected" (it will work with other SIM's, and the SimEmu SIM won't work on any phone)
now I'm trying to flash it again, but with no success... I think it's a problem with my "multipipo" programmer, because I also tried to put simemu 5.00s back on it, but it doesn't work :(
how can I check if the programmer is faulty?

ehm... simemu 6.00s "new" does NOT work!!!!!!! I inserted CORRECTED KI and IMSI (they worked till 5 minutes ago with simemu5... I double-triple-quadruple checked) but phone won't register on the network :-( I tried inputting them 3 times, still no-go
any clues?
(the "wrong" release WORKED (except for the fact it froze the phone and the sim too :P))

Did you write the files with the ICProg verification activated ?

I'm sorry for this "false alarm"
it seems that my operator had a "blackout" just when I finished my clone...
I also tried with an "official" SIM and it didn't log on the network
I tried again now with the clone and it works flawlessly
it was just a coincidence! I begin to think we're part of a Matrix system :D

i have sime emu 5 for silver card and it work fine, i tryt sim emu 6.00 and of cours it work very very fine (on my panasonic gd67) but in the version 6.00 there is no hex in french ! i try to translate it in french with ic prog but after the sim don't work in my phone :-( can you relase a version in french please ?? many thx !!
The next version I'll make will be for FunCard as I said in another post, but it take some time, months ...

You must select the 6.00s in the configurator to use it in Silver.

The translations are done by you as in a previous versions. See the french version of 5.00 with ICProg and learn how can you do it with 6.00.

i have try simemu 6.00 but find a bug. (i use siemens m50).
1. in simemu 5.00 i can have 250 adn but in simemu 6.00 although i set to 250 the phone report 178 in capacity.
2. sms# only 50, but i think this because my phone can only read 50.
3. fdn no problem, 222.

There is no BUG in SIM-EMU about that.
That model of Siemens has a limitation of 400 entries between FDN and ADN giving priority to FDN.
You have left the default value of 222 FDN's. The remainder from 400 is 178 that are left to ADN's.
If you want more ADN's than FDN's, reconfigure the flash with, for example, 150 FDN's and 250 ADN's, and you should obtain efectively 250 ADN's.
The limitation in SMS's in that model is 50 SMS's.

The ADN is the normal phonebook.
The FDN (Fixed Dialling Number) is a restricted phonebook that is activated using PIN2 in the corresponding phone menu. Once activated, only it is possible to makes calls to number of this list.

An .hex file is a text format that represents binary data (with checksums).
If you open it in a programming software it should open correctly.
If your programming software has "dual" display of the buffer (most have) showing on the left the binary data, on the right it's ASCII representation, on the right side you should *NOT* have "10000" ...
I used in the past Dejan interface & sw to prog Gold and Silvercards with SE sw with succes, but now after I try to update my Silver SE4 to SE6.0s I get a lot of prog error... finally I succed to prog without error Silver-card but still not work... card rejected in any phone....
is there any other sw (for prog silv -SE6) that can vork with dejan interace ? any link available ?
I have also an MQP prog PM48 but I have no idea if this support Silver card

As suggested I write the flash with codeprotect enabled, but when this is done then i can't enable/disable select phone# and loader not even edit phone line description. Is there any one else who is having this problem?

Don't modify the CP value. Let it in CP 1F00 - 1FFF as it comes in the original SIM_EMU_6.00_FL_xxx.hex
I recommend to activated the CPD bit to protect the internal EEPROM of the PIC.

Dear Daniel, is it possible to disable routine that shows actual position description on the phone's display under actual operator's name? There's a problem with my wife's SonyEricsson T66: after changing actual number the description don't refreshed until reset. So it'll be better to remove such ability from her card.

You must first write the flash with CPD unchecked for the ICProg verification make good.
Once verified ok, check the CPD and write Configuration Bit only with ICProg menu option Program config (F4).

I got a sim magic card reader/writter ( i think is dejan sim_scan) and i would like to know which type of card i have eg. silver, green, green2. Ok i know my 8in1 card is an silvercard :( (16F877+24C64).
I tried to reprogram my card with jdm2 and dejan interfaces.
After erased them sucssesfuly and blank cheked i programed flash with sim_emu 6.00s and eeprom with eeprom file too but when turning on the phone it show's "SIM CARD REJECTED" could any1 tell me how to program both pic and eeprom using jdm2 and/or dejan sim_scan inteface ?
Ps: Which is the maximum configuration for ADN FDN and SMS for silvercard?

This is short version of original eeprom file, because Dejan's programmer cannot program eeprom 24c64 with original eeprom file in Sim-Emu-6.00. Also, in zip is verison of eeprom which do not show registered network on phone display, only name.

You need the flash file in the language what you want (the _xxx is the language suffix).
Then you need to configure the type of card with the configurator program.
The external EEPROM is the same for all languages and it is SIM_EMU_EP_6.00.hex

Deactivating the Loader, it is not possible to read/write the external EEPROM using ICProg without making a full erase of the flash.
It is a security enhancement to avoid the reading of the external EEPROM.

You are using a method that erase the flash each time you write the external EEPROM and the SIM-EMU option, only deactivate the internal Loader used by ICProg.

I cloned 2 original card (2 different networks) in one silver card and all is working fine with my Siemens M35i. Only when I switched from one card to another card "Network Searching..." about 40-50 sec. In my wife's Nokia 3310 it don't want change card without switch off/ switch on.
For programming Silver card I used programmer Multiprog 2001XL and software Twoprog v.3.1.3
Kis I read with the oldest Dejan Kaljevic SimScan v.1.0 because with newer versions I had trouble (but I didn't tried Sim Scan v2.00 because I extracked KI long time ago). I used homemade Mouse programmer with 10.240 MHz cristal (3 times faster...)
IMSI I read with Multiprog 2001XL and software "Chipcard reader v. 2.12". That software give IMSI exactly in form for entering in SIM_EMU 6.0.

I used formula :

but after programing, there are always space for only 30 sms. I tried several combinations.
For example : In Sim-Emu( 6.01) menu I can see SMS/ADN : 82/052
but I can store only 30 sms :(
It is a limitation of your phone that only support up to 30 SMS.
See your phone doc.

i also have the same error as yours and it's still OK. I asked a Russian and he sent me the file OK for Win98 and with WinXP when programmed but it could not work, sometimes i had error with eeprom via Phoenix "Resetting card failed !" .

No.... Siemens and Nokia phone are free, and alaways work OK with original SIM (with sim of different operator). I try my card with your configurator and the response it's OK. Is it possible thet my card is broken (hardware fault) ?.

Then i changed some menù name but your Configurator2.1 doesn't accept the SIM! Manually entering IMSI and Ki aLL IS OK!

You have to SetUp the corresponding PlugIn (Phoenix or PC/SC) according with your card reader.
Did you try with an original SIM ?

I'm read all sim-cloning forum but I'm don't find more the problem and I can't contact PISAC.
I can't reprogram my silver pic16f876+24c64. I have programming the pic with jdm2 (sim-emu-6.01-flash) but i can't program the eeprom with original (sim-emu-6.0 eeprom) and dejan's reader(reader work ok in reading operations Ki and IMS, it is not problem in the hardware).In eeprom process programing with IC-Prog 1.05, after card reseting it say :"Programing is not support". Process of reading is done ok but it is empty.
Please help me with the short version at eeprom file for dejan's reader: s6es.zip

Ops.. thanks, now i see :cool: Just wanna let you know that SimEmu menu does not appear on the Nokia 6820 perhaps I still can change phone number by turning the phone Off and On and proceed with the pin1 assigned to the phone I need to use , my others two phones SE and Samsung works just fine. Hope you’ll be able to fix phones compatibility issues in the future.
That Nokia model should be the first Nokia model that SIM-EMU don't show it, that I know.
I'll try to test it.

I have your last SIM_EMU_6.01_CFG_v2.1.msi, but with some problems. Because in Nokia and Samsung X100 when i am selecting phone number from Sel.phone# then it is switching very well but in other sets is not switching to other number then i am going on other number after switch off/on, enter pin for other number and then number does work.
You are requested to please give me your nice opinion on this problem that how i can solve this problem i.e. how i can switched an other number through Sel.phone# instead of switch off/on.

I've received am e-mail from info@simemu.cjb.net with the text below and a file "Sim_Emu_606.zip"
This new version is for the any card.
But also it is valid for the SilverCard (16F876/24LC64) and for the GreenCard (16F876/24LC128) configuring the flash file for each one of these cards using a configurator program.
Is this real? Coz I didn't saw any new version in the simemu.cjb.net nor in the forum.
That is a fake Email not send it by me.
