hello
i have t20e. i cant power it on , just led lights up and freeze.
i tried to change RF, i reflow power ic, flash ic, dsp, no result.
any idea whats wrong ?

eeprom corruption usually comes
when flash memory have some broken balls
check if it's not glued, and do reflow with hot air station
then reprogram eeprom
and do unlock

It's not absolutly nessesary to change Eeprom. I have a solution which works on 90% of those darned Ericsson T20 phones.
I have uploaded here (http://www.gsmcoolhawk.com/gsmforum/T20s_T20e_Soft_Dead_Solution.rar) all files to revive the phone again. Took me long time to find the right combination of files and programs to do this, but here it is finally. I have tested this solution on over 50 T20 handsets to date, 90% are revived by this method. File is 4.1 MB and contains all files and programs needed.

Thanks, this solution works on my t20e model. Just one more thing, now my language is set to Greek, but Ill need it to be on english, or better Slovenian. What I should do to fix that?

thanx for help but phone is dead,
ic flash memory is glued i do not change,
eprom write is ok ,flash write stoped erase 10%
i probe with cruiser write flash without erase file
and write flash ok,unlock but no power.

Have you tried both flash sets ?
Never had a problem like that with sets where the LED lights up, that 90% soft problem, maybe that you have onbe of the last 10% ?
Try again, and check cables, and that the battery is FULLY charged, and remeber after write any of the flash sets, you need to unlock the phone with included unlocker also !

i tried both flash nothing,write eprom and write cruiser flash(t20s,t20e),
unlock not power only blink led,
problem with erase flash stoped 10-11% and no write
crusier flash is 2.5mb your flash is 4mb
i test other soft varios,div not erase flash and no write

Then I can only suggest that You try to reheat the flash IC very carefully ! If the clue ****s then you have to repalce it !

I have 2 T20s emptyboards here.
Do you think it is possible to revive them ?
I know they have passed the tests in the factory, they just dont have any IEMI and that stuff....
They have testprogram right now.
Is it possible to use T20e files maybe too ?
Does the programs work under WINXP SP2 ?
I have tried the flash program but it doesnt seem to connect to my phones....I use same cable as for DIV.
I have cruiser too....

Can't say if it'll work. Never had any empty board T20 phones !
Download the flash file set and programs in the link on previous page and try. Have not done a single T20 for over a year, obsolete by now.

Do you remeber if you used the programs under WIN XP or WIN 98 ?
And which kind of cable did you used ?

I use still only win98 for all the old unlock solutions and programs.
You may try to set the programs to use win98 campabillity mode, I know that trick works on many proggies, just remember you need direct access to com port, so you need special i/o dll file as I remember, dunno how to use this though, since I've never used it myself, but I've seen it posted somewhere on the board here.

With WIN98, no problems, just use normal COM cable for T28

Fightercable is USB, cannot be used, only good ole COM cable for T28.

I always use T28 cable under XP 2 program eric t2x with varanius (http://varanius.narod.ru/). The only thing should b always checked, if u want run it under XP is "wait only..." checkbox.
BTW u can write t29 fw 2 t20 phone, but u'll lose voise dial options...(all needed fw and sw are there (http://varanius.narod.ru/))
Oh yes, make crc repair if it still blinks...
