can't update firmware

Hi there,

As i read you can update the firmware with winsup with some non original cables. Now i tried to update but the only thing it does is pinging my phone and turning of my phone, then it doens't do anything anymore.

Is this because of my cable which aint good enough? or is it something else?
Can i modify something in my cable so it wil work?

You must bay original data cable whit 6 wires

C55 v14 i try to update. I want to update it to v21 or v24
(sorry for not metioning my phone model)
