idea for a patch

how about a patch that asks the user whether or not he wants to accept the data that is delivered through IrDA??

for example somebody sends you a contact through irda
sl45i (at least mine) doesn't ask... it simply saves it
i would prefer it to ask me first

furthermore it would be nice to make it possible to accept all file types (mp3 etc)
(ex: i can't accept .mid files when using it with an iPaq)

i still have v54 so some of the might already be fixed by siemens :)

You can`t add patches anyway.. So I think noboby makes patches of that kind..

Another question:
Does You IrDa ALWAYS on?? How it`s possible that You can recieve a sending who You realy don`t wanna recieve??

it's not always on :)

but if a patch of this kind exists then the phone shall ask where to save it
for example in the misc folder in my mmc

It stores data in the right place...nomatter what you are receiving.
You can also transfer MP3 through IrDa but takes too long.

Why ask when the itself stores it right!? Just useless work to answer the question which absolutely is not important.
