Hello everyone!

I have just tried unlocking a GD87 I have. I did the 7,4,6 menu menu thing, and put in the new nck code and I got the message Block Disabled

I then put in my o2 sim and turned the phone on, it went onto the menu, but still had the searching for network at the top of the screen, after a few moments the message came up "Secruity Failure" and then went onto the emergency calls only screen?

Can someone help me? Im thinking the reason for this is the phone may be barred perhaps? How can I upbar it if this is the case?

Bit more info, that might help someone help me. My o2 sim was the one I used first off and got that secruity failure, I have just tried another T-Mobile sim that I have, and that seems to work fine???

Why am I getting secruity failure when I use my o2?

Tell a lie, the T-Mobile only loads up and except txts and lets me look at picture and things, still cant make or receive phone calls. Im guessing now that it must be barred? Anyway I can unbar the phone ?

If the O2 SIM works in other handsets, then it sounds like the phone is barred. The behaviour of the T-Mobile SIM is also what you get with a barred handset (it will let the SIM register, but it won't allow call setup).

The only way to unbar the handset is to change the IMEI, which is certainly possible on the GD87, but may or may not be illegal, depending on where you are.

Actually, if you have O2 and T-Mobile SIMs, then you're probably in the UK, and changing the IMEI is illegal here.

If you're looking for a free solution, then I'm afraid there isn't one. I also suspect that you will have problems finding anyone in the UK who will be willing to sell you IMEI logs, for obvious reasons.
