I want to know just how dangerous it is to do the downgrade to a22 firmware and crack then upgrade back to a38 or a39 firmware on the GU87. See I am selling my GU87 and I need it unlocked; however, i've been quoted at $23 USD to get my phone unlocked using panareader 6.0. Every penny I spend on that takes away from my profit whcih is necessary for my new phone. Is it extremely dangerous to do it myself using that method, or if I follow the directions will it be OK?
Also, if there is an extremely good tutorial on how to do this anywhere that someone could show me that would be great. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's _extremely_ dangerous, but I have to admit that a lot of people have managed to destroy their Panasonics while playing around with them. It seems that 99%+ of the problems have occured when trying to reflash the phone - especially when doing it for the first time, with an unknown computer/serial port/cable combination.

My suggestion would be to start by reflashing the Language pack only (MAIN and BOOT red, LANGUAGE green in WinMoDo) to check things out - this has the big advantage that even if it goes completely wrong your phone will still work (but in English only) and you can then try and sort things out at your leisure - rather than having a boot-erased-will-die-completely-once-the-battery-goes-flat Panasonic timebomb to deal with.

There probably is a tutorial somewhere, but I can't think of where off the top of my head.
