View Full Version : s40 no provider names
After a reset(*#337#) by the helpdesk of Siemens I don't get the name of my provider anmore but only a code(204-40). I just did a full flash with S40fubu900.bin
and did an extra reset of my phone but still no provider names. Can anybody help me with this problem? thx

Look in your Properties, maybe their is no name anymore in the settings and after the flash it deleted your name and only the providernumber is still saved. Goto the preferred provider menu and look if their stands your providername or the number and rename it ;)
If I look in network selection > preferred list. I can see the provider numbers. But when I press edit my phone hangs. I have a good working s40, is it possible to use this one as a donor for the other phone? I mean is it possible to get the code from one phone to the other?
S40 is very badly software powered, i have S40 without ring tones and i flash him 50 times and still nothing. i think flash has broken sectors and without remove it with good one nothing will fix this problem. try to repleace flash and flash with new soft

if you reset phone with code.. and phone version under 3.2 you will lose your phone datas.. from phone.. for example operator logos , Ringtones , Melodies , etc..
and Multimedia Datas not in First flash chip..
its in second flash chip and we cant flash with known softwares second flash chip..as far as i know.
