I have a 3595 and a 3590. One is broken but has a really nice IMEI # (888 in the middle :D). I was just wondering if I could keep the IMEI that I like and transfer it over to the other phone?

Is it transferable between different models?
Is it transferable between different brands?

I know each brand has a different number but I don't know if an IMEI can limit the functions of the phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

It's just the phones ID#, if your second phone is ok (not IMEI locked), why do need to change it? It can be illegal in some countries to change the IMEI.

I agree it's totally pointless to keep the IMEI with certain characters.
Moreover it's a wrong place to ask such questions...
There are few places on the web where you will find the answers - just do some search.
