-backup old, damgaed Software
-write full flash
-unlock phone

Now your phone must relive again!

But if u have a blue screen now you must try to write an other EEPROM

Just try my M55 EEPROM Repair Kit (http://chris02.nokia-reverse-engineering.de/M55_EEPROM_REPAIR_KIT_FOR_M55_Tool_by_Chris02.rar)

Write EEPROM1, unlock the phone! If EEPROM1 will not working try EEPROM2 and unlock the phone! And so on!

Hi Chris, no I tried all EEPROMS, no one helps me.
A send fullflash with freia, it kill phone, after this I send to phone backup, phone is alive, but problem with screen persist.

i did about 10 phones with it solution

this from TSR works 1000%.
I used Chris02 prog to repair the initial faults, followed by TSR's to rectify the screen You may have to tweak around to make the screen work, just remember to re-load the phone after the last step noted.

yes, solution works 100% if blue screen is an contrast problem. I've tested it!

The version has nothing to do with unlock!

The problem is the bootcore!

I've a friend with a S55 and the same trouble of contrast, this pacth is compatible with his mobile? And if it's possible, some modification in the code or the same process??

As you wrote,first and second bytes must be with same value...if they are different,there will be problem in contrast menu,contrast will be not adjustable 100%,adjustment will be possible just in one way!

U have killed the bootcore!

Make testpoint (for testpoint use search), flash the phone with a fullbackup and unlock it

But when i turn on the phone nothing is changed: it shows the blue screen for 10" and then it turns off.
I see that flash ids and phone ids are different: could this be the problem? And if this is the problem how can i change the flash ids?

I wrote the flash with M55 Tool but when i tried to unlock or change imei, M55 tool gave me this message "This phone is destroyed - please write good eeprom first :))". I wrote the eeprom with this http://www.gsm-multifund.de/Downloads/eeprom/eep_m55v10.zip but nothing changed. And the phone didn't turn on but it only "buzz"...
So, after saving the fubu in *.fls with vklay, i use freia to flash

Finally I have fixed my phone!!! :)
I tried to flash and unlock it another time with m55 tool and this time evrything goes right :)

hmm about contrast i can say ,mihgt seems funny but it is not a yoke,that it can be adjusted with old old martech x35 service tools 1.7 that evryone have.Just enter service mode read contrast encrease value and write contrast(test point must be cutted or resistance must be removed) tested many times with c55 and few days ago with c60.

You have to flash original Eeprom also, after flash release and re-plug battery,
contrast SW is for fix blue screen.

how does ure screen turn blue?..mobile bug..or mobile off??..cant we correct the color of M55 with the software?..i mean....M55's colors are a lil bit yellowish..instead of proper white?.....if we can how do we...cuz my mobile on connected to contrast tool say resetting wait for boot :S

May I use a generic S55 fubu or eeprom on my phone ? Does it work ? I've heard, after using a not-mine fubu, the phone will lockup with a message like "bad software" or something like. Is it true ?

I have a S55 with the same contrast problem, but unfortunately with x55contrast and USB cable, my phone enters "Service mode", but the program locks up here:
"boot loaded, reseting phone and wait for boot..."
... for hours, and nothing more. :eek:

[Vklay and other software work fine with that cable!!!]

Btw I have some problems because sometimes the contrast decreases then the cell switchs off. I have to remove the battery, put it again on place, then when I'm lucky, it powers on for few other minutes... Then off !

Eeprom 5007 is a great solution... but what is the right value for the first two bytes of that block ?
I tried 30 30 or 3c 3c (the previous status of my phone), or 5f 5f or 60 60, as read here, but the first are too dark, the last too white !
What's the right value ?

My friend's s55 is dead. I updated it to fw91 and put some paches on it. After 3 days he turned it off (He told me he turned of in aircraft mode) and from that time we cannot turn on. Blue screen, buzzzining, and turning off. I put back original FUBU but didn't work. After that only blue screen remains and it does not turn off.

But does not work. Blue screen still reamins. When I press init the "service mode" is readable and perfect on the screen. So in service mode the screen is ok.

What could be the problem? I also tried all-contrast the value was 0x2D and it was also ok I think.

I solved the problem. the bootcore of the v91 is different that's why i had trouble when i put back the old fubu. So i just have to put back a v91 Fubu. now the phone is working :)
