i just got a c56 this morning from a client...
he couldn't unlock his phone using freia...
i tried at first but it wouldn't accept the boot file

so i had to open it up and use testpoint
didn't know how to check firmware version but its the c56 rogers is now handing out (he got it yesterday)

anyone else have this problem?

you have to use testpoint and if i'm not wrong the c56 is the same as the c55 in our country so use the search butten and you will find a nice picture of the testpoint

i DID have to use testpoint cause the phone wouldn't boot
and the c56 = c55 except difference and frequency

I have had this problem with some A56. Never with a C56 here yet. Tested with Cingular and AT&T models.

Did you have to hold down the power button like with the a56i?

Every c56 I have done so far you just tap it and it goes...

Yes, but once you made the test point did you have to hold down power or just tap?
