View Full Version : Blinking t720
Hi, I have a t720 that only blinks when you push the power button. I am not sure what happened to it originally, as my friend gave it to me in this condition. When you push the power button, it blinks on then back off, with no way to reflash it. I am not sure if this is a fixable problem. I have tried the 13-14 trick, and just about everythign else on the forums. I have seen some posts where people have actually recovered from this state, but I do not know how they acheieved it. Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks.
short 13+14 pins and then connect it to the computer...then it screen should stay one instead of blinking. Flash it with a repair file..BTW, the computer will only detect the phone in flash mode when you short pins 13+14
OK, I have still had no luck with this phone. I took my cable apart, took out all the excess pins and just have the ones connected to the usb cable and then 13+14 wired together. The phone still only blinks when I turn it on. My pc did recognize a usb device, but it never showed in PST. The screen only comes on for about a second and then it is off. The screen has to stay on to flash it right?
well mine is similar but mine stays on when i short the pins.. however it doesnt get detected in windows it says unrecoginized device
Windows finds it as an unrecognized device, but I hear the windows beep that it found a device, then it does the other that it is not there. I still have had no luck with this thing. Is there a certain way to get the phone to flash? I tried just about everythign I can think of, is this phone just a lost cause?

@cripper - you must change GGAP IC
TRy test point and image file with PST. If not working, than move to hardware part, as sugested by Mark.
Thanks for all the help, but I am still unable to get the phoen to stay on longer than a second.
How do I use the test point? I have read through posts , and have located it on the phone, but I do not understand how to use it. Do I just put power to the test point, or is there something more to it.
