This sotry is big on the news here in Australia, it is B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T.!!!!!!!!!!
A female security guard was transporting money from a pub, and a criminal attacked her with *****-knuckles beating her head severely cuasing her blindess & small brain damage. He then dragged her along by the bag with the money. She let go, he got in the car and she shot him in the head while he was driving away & killed him.
Now the police are charging her with murder because 'he was no longer a threat". The media is going on how the criminal was a "good young man". Its just disgusting the way this country is turning out, it use to be a good safe place to live now its gone mad like USA, everyone suing everyone. For example if a thief breaks into your home or store & cuts himself commiting a robbery he can sue you in court & win big money. or in jail if a prisoner slips on a wet floor or is raped by another prisoner the government pays him $75 000.
When will this end? Is Europe going this way or is it still normal?
Greece will be never like that. I think also neighbour countries.
This story is truly sad
@ Scaramouche
Looks like thats the way things are now the criminals have more rights than anyone else. Here in South Africa crime is more common than the flu there was a report on the radio this morning about a guy involved in road rage and he shot and killed 3 people and injured 1 more.
There has been plenty of stories like your one there is such a fine line between when you can or cannot shoot a criminal/robber but as for the lady you mentioned above I take my hat off to her as she has more balls than most men and I believe she did the right thing F@#K them.
This is our world sad but true

Unfortunetly it is highly likely she will go to jail :(
here even the police are not allowed to shoot criminals running away. They can ONLY shoot if the criminal is a threat if he is running it is murder if the kill him. Like i said before, its going mad. Some of the things that are happenening
- teachers CANNOT punish naughty children because children know all they have to do is say "teacher molets me" & end of teachers career.
- Criminal who hurts himself breaking into your home to steal may sue you.
- Criminal who gets beaten or raped in jail gets MINIMUM $75 000 of tax payer money because government did not care for his safety.
- if you see a criminal robbing somebody & you attack the criminal police will charge you with assault.
- Average sentance here for murder is 15 years only
- Juvenile under 18 can AND DO commit 100's of crimes because court just lets them go without punishment.
- Instead of punishing children court promises them a new bike or holiday if they do not commit any more crimes.
- You often cannot punish children yourself by slapping or spanking, hitting your child is illegal.
As ridiculous all those things may sounds they are all true... It never use to be like this when i was younger :(
Its very depressing as iam going to be a father soon, what world are our children growin up in?

I think the world is becoming a disgusting place to live..
Here in Canada if somebody is crossing the street from the middle of the street you have to stop your car and wait for him to cross (there is a 75$ fine if a policeman catches him crossing the street that way) but if you cant stop your car in time then *** help you..if he gets a good lawyer he can get a couple of million dollars from you (of course the insurance company pays for that but not after increasing your insurance by 1000%)...
And i heard that in the US if you catch a guy trying to steal your house you can shoot and kill him and it would be considered legal(i think this is in the state of California)
Whats wrong with people these days??

Shooting somebody breaking into your home is something that is OK. there are so many crazy's on drugs who knows they can murder & your family.
Here in australia you are not allowed to use excessive force, you must use the same amount of force as the robberotherwise you will be charged with assault or murder if he dies.

Or listen to this.
A man argues with a bar-man in a pub. Late at night he break into the bar-mans pub to set fire to it. The bar-man wakes up, & hits him with a baseball bat. This is the outcome.
Bar man gets charged with assault & causing serious injury
Criminal gets $80 000 of tax-payer money
Criminals MOTHER gets $20 000 of tax-payers money to compensate her for the trauma of seeing her precious criminal son beaten.
Now criminals family can get compensation if criminal is hurt

Living here is absolutely fantastic, very clean, not much pollution, great food etc, etc. However everything is $$$$ expensive & costs keep on rising & rising. Also just pray you dont get sick & have to go to a public hospital you will probably die before they schedule you in for an appointment. Ive just had a root canal at the dentist. It cost me $900 AU ($650 US). I was talking to a friend in India he said a similar treatment is only about $20 US there.
As for freedom, yes you are free of all responsability..... if you run over a child whoile drunk its only a $1700 fine & loss of license for 1 year. No other punishment. if you commit a crime, you are not responsible for it most of the time because your family is poor or you are despereate for money or you are drunk or on drugs.
Here is another story from the papers. At the fireworks a drunken ****ager attacked a policemen & got him in a headlock. 3 Other police pulled him off & arrested him. A judge however let the ****ager go & made the police pay the ****ager $3800 compensation for been hurt by the police.

I think the reason behind most crimes is because that kind of laws (getting $$$ for getting hurt while comitting a crime) encourage criminals to do such things cause they win either way: if they get caught they will somehow get themselves hurt and get rich and if they dont then they get away with what they did..

But even with all this craziness there are still some good souls in this world listen to this story:
"An anonymous benefactor sent a winning lottery ticket worth 200 million yen ($2.57 million) to a local government in central Japan to help disaster victims of heavy rain, the governor said Saturday.
The ticket, confirmed by authorities to be a real winner, came with a letter from the nameless donor.
"If this can help even a little those who have met with unhappiness and disaster, I would be very happy," the writer said in the letter dated Thursday."
Its people like that who keep this world running...
I think that no matter how much we thank this guy it still wouldnt be enough...but his deeds are gonna get rewarded in heaven
