Member: 1686318 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | HTC Desire Unlock Problem I have an HTC Desire (Bravo) which was running HBOOT 1.02.0001 - I want to unlock the phone to all networks so I use XTC-Clip but the HBOOT is not supported at this time. So I found the Revoutionary tool to turn S-Off - I thought if I turn S-Off and create the goldcard with XTC for any HBOOT it may just start the unock software - It didn't. So now the Revoutionary has updated the phones HBOOT to 6.93.1002 and S is Off but the phone still needs unlocking. How can I go about doing this? I think I need to downgrade the HBOOT back to 0.93.X001 if possible as this is unlockable with XTC. Or is there another way to do this? Thanks Aaron |

Just a couple of questions - When I download a firmware for the phone does the radio on the phone have to match the radio incuded in the download or does it not matter? also once the phone has been unocked with xtc can the phone be updated again without oosing the unlock? thanks |

It doesn't matter with S-off phones. And yes, after unlock you can update to ANY ROM - stock or custom - phone will remain unlock. BR

Member: 1686318 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | Thats kwl, thanks for the info. Sorry for all the questions but I have just 1 more. How does the phone actually unock? I guess its not like a software patch else fashing firmware would erase it right? - unless you flash an aready unlocked rom? I did find a tool caled 'Ultimate multi tool' which has an 'S-Off/Super CidSim unlock' option but its not running on my computer - it doesn't use an unlock box so does this work in a different way to xtc-clip? thanks again |

Yeah, it isn't a patch unlock. XTC clip unlock is permanent, as it sets phone to factory state and disable ANY security inside phone that will allow flash, upgrade always!

Member: 1686318 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | Hi again, sorry for the mutiple posts today but from what I have read the revolutionary tool has some protection built in so that an RUU update cant overwrite the HBOOT on the phone - in this case I need it, does anyone know a way I can turn this protection off so the HBOOT will update during the RUU update? Thanks |
