hi.

i found the testpoint i need to cut but, i can't understand what does this really mean.

well, i see two "dots" of "welding" linked by a green thin line.

i have to cut this line? i mean, i have to interrupt the link between this two dots?

BB-gsm told me to use an hard needle, is this ok?

many thanks to all

Yeah, you have the idea - the line you're looking at is a copper track on the circuit board. You need to cut through it so that the two pads on either side are isolated.

Using a needle is a good idea - there are multiple layers in the board, and it's easy to accdentally damage the inner layers with a scalpel.

thanks.

but, i don't have to remove the two pads, isn't it?

-the cutting trough, you suggest to try to "scratch" using the needle or giving it a "hit" from top-below?

-what technical language! ;)

No, no need to remove the pads, just cut through the track - scratching it with a needle is probably the best approach, since it has the lowest chance of damaging anything else.

Incidentally, some people have reported that the new testpoint doesn't work on some phones...
