Hello,
Has somebody tested the new solution for Siemens "Wrong software" versions 49/51? I did it myselft and it did not work. The problem is that whenever I flash C25 (v51) to version 43/46 the phone can not power on at all.
Anyway, here is the solution that appears on the Net. Please, if somebody solves his problem with this solution, post a message here!

Start the C25 4608.EXE flasher.
Keep Pressing ON button until flasher coneccts to phone
Wen it erase flash,and start transmitting...
disconect the cable from the phone.
Pull battery out ,and put it back to phone.
Start flasher C25 4303
Start all25.exe ,enter another IMEI
Repear the procedure, and phone should display Service mode
After that....,repear procedure with flashers and ALL25
The whole PROCEDURE 100% REPEAR EVERY PHONE

That is the fix for the 46 version. The only way I have got a v49 or higher to work is by flashing with origonal version or higher and then using new all25 and setting IMEI to all 0.
It works everytime for me but others seem to have problems ??

Yes, all the people and me too have problems with this all25 new and the IMEI of all zeroes. How do you do this? From which directory you start all25? Is there anything special to this procedure? Please, if it really works for you explain in greater detail here for all of us.

I have tryed that repair procedure that you posted, but it does not work. I found prog. called "New all25", wich contains text file that say`s that prog. doesn`t work with Siemens C-25 Power. Please if you can send me your ALL 25, because I think that problem is in that prog.

Don't know why you are having problems version is new all 25 installed in c:siemens directory I run it under windows 95 but if you can get phone into service mode then I would say programme is working ok. A post earlier said that new all25 doen't work with c25 power this is correct this is not a working fix but a bodge up as IMEI is and can only be all 0's to get round wrong software.. I will be getting my C25 back this weekend so I will destroy it and take a note of the exact procedure !!!

No problem getting into "Service Mode" using IMEI all 0's. But after reflashing with 49xx/51xx the phone still on "wrong softw".
I'll be waiting for the procedure.Tnx!

I have the same problem. Wrong Sw with 49xx/51xx flashers and don't turn on with old flashers. I will make copy on EEprom dump and will try to find the solution into the dump. If some have some diferent idea let tolk http://www.thoic.net/gsm/ubb/smile.gif

Well, Charlie how are you going to make a dump of the EEPROM? If you have some program, please let us know here, since the problem is really there and not in the flash...

Well open the phone desolger the chip 946 but i think it's 9346 chip so read with Pony Pro ... I will make tomorow dump ... http://www.thoic.net/gsm/ubb/smile.gif

Neb when phone goes to service mode let all 25 keep running till it restarts and asks for IMEI at that point disconnect the phone DO NOT REFLASH after this. Fash with software prior to ALL 25 phone should be in wrong software state. I am currently working on another method that may get round losin IMEI will let you all know.

Maybe I'm lucky but I managed to get my c25 with software version v49 back to work. I tried to unlock it in the first place by all25.exe.The phone displayed WRONG SOFTWARE.My phone was not destroyed by C25 unlocker but basically I think that is the same. I flashed the phone to the original version 4901,4903,4908.Then I connect with ALL25 to get it into SERVICE MODE.After that I quit the program leaving the phone in SERVICE MODE.I started a program called C25-PWR...and it started to work for a while (lots of errors though).On one point the program says: Mobile lebt nog immer nicht(Mobile is still not alive).I disconnected the cable and power off the phone.I was amazed that afterwards the phone turned on and asked to insert simcard.
However my friend has the same phone which displays 'DESTROYED BY C25UNLOCKER' and I cannot get this one to work.But clearly there must be a way.My phone works fine now but has a strange entry in the phonebook: Some HOTLINE number in Germany and MRPIC on the display after a while when I don't put a simcard in the phone.The original message should be WWW.SIEMENS.COM.The (http://WWW.SIEMENS.COM.The) display contrast is also too high.I opened the program ALL25 with a HEX EDITOR and I found both words in it.(HOTLINE and MRPIC)
However phones unlocked with software version 10 do not have these entries....
Nor the phonebook entry or display message...
I know what I write here is very vague and probably unusable but I just write down some
findings and hope someone just might get lucky since we all want to get rid of this WRONG SOFTWARE message on V49 and v51 phones!
