D500 was handed to me for repair (liquid damage)
Handset was not powering up, but when battery was removed and reconnected, the screen lit up white (without pressing on/off button)
I dismantled the handset and inside there was alot of liquid on the boards.
I removed the liquid, then cleaned and dried the pcb's.
I reassembled the handset (I have done D500 before several times) and now it is completely dead.
I even opened it again and checked evrything using the D500 dismantle video and I had it all right.
But still 100% dead :(
I have tried getting a program to read the fone, but nothing :(
I am using D500 powered (9-Volt) serial (com port) cable.
I have tried onenand, winimei and SUS but all of them say something like they are waiting for me to press the on/off button.
Of course I am doing this, but nothing happens.
The phone is 100% dead :(
Please help

Try PCB Cleaner on your boards...

Would also suggest trying a different battery (Fully charged from another phone as they cannot be charged in a dead phone....

Then follow these instructions (At the bottom of the document) for reviving dead phone/ white screen...

71780

Also, if its hanging.. try this

71781 ... Worked for me many times now

Thanks for your replies.
But the fone is 100% dead - no white screen anymore. No keypad lights.
I cannot flash the fone or read any info from it because nothing recognizes the on/off button being pressed :(
Any more ideas please?

TIA

My only other option would be PCB Cleaner on your boards... Samsungs are usually ok going for a short swim.. :) .. if it was a Nokia.. I'd say forget it :D

hi there had this prob lots of times and the only thing that works for me is removeing the internal batt. take the back off and you will see a small battrey like one out of a watch you need to remove this just snap it off with a small screwdriver but be carefull not to damage anything else reasemble the phone and it will switch on. evey time i have done this it works 100%:D
only draw back is the time and date will reset each time you take off the batt to put sims in and out;)

Funny you say this... I had an N-Gage QD and I done this also.. as the internal battery contacts were corrupted... I snapped it off... then simply cleaned it up and resoldered it...

Worked fine :)
