1. put sim card in
2. turn phone on
(this is where it gets tricky)
4. lift battery up enough to remove sim to where phone cant read it. wait a sceond and screen should say "please wait", before that goes away replace the sim and battery.
5. to do this phone cannot lose power at any time.

THIS WORKED FOR MY T-539 HAVENT TESTED ANY OTHERS
