This is a way to make the phone hang up, can not press any more after read meassage...Ha ha ah ah

Very-very simple text messaging could make the phone crash !!! Even it is just a temporarely crash, but it is still unacceptable.

Tested on S45i in result - phone not crashed, but freezes...

PS: I've got SMS in my phone which turns off Siemens S25 ! But it's not a code...

This is not working on c25,a35 and a36 phones :( i have tsted on c,m and s series 35 and all freezes also c45v14 freez but if yuo press no buton for a while it comes to normal :) and for the mt50 is the same situation.Tested also on sl45 and he freezes too :D :D :D U can send "%Norsk" or "%Deutsch" it will do the same but only if the phone that is reciving sms have that language in it :eek: so if enyone else have some solution how to crash or freez siemens phones post it here :)

Maybe the phone tries to load language in sms and can't????

Or the phone try to load an imagine as "%Kiss" but found a valid variable name that go at address of English language and can't load????

Have you try to read/open that incoming message ? The message is received with no problem, but when we try to read it, there will be "Please Wait" icons displayed forever...

Another way to read it, when incoming message display, go to menu, message>incoming>choose message and press option> edit and then you can view content without freeeezzzz phone ha ha ha hi hi hi.....

Of course, when I receive message, I press Left button uder LCD,
"Please wait" , and after 2-3 seconds I read message.

In C35/M35 to delete that message you have to put the SIM into the other phone or use a datacable :)

But there is a problem coz it's not a text ! On the other Siemens phones you can see some pictures (according to FW version). It's impossible to post it here...

A few months ago somebody (Rogeer) send me that SMS, to have my advice. It was discovered, when he was sending messages using ICQ. On the Nokia phones it displays square (it doesn't work).

i suppose this format only works for phones which support picture messaging, cause the format "%XXXXXX" was used by the phone to recognise the picture messaging format, so if we put this format, the phone will keep search in it's database for the picture, but i've tried with other words instead of english and it won't work

Yes that is true when you send picture messages on siemens phones you are sending a code not a picture the picture is already inside phones software that is reciveing a sms and when he recive a picture sms then he load it from his software:)
So if you know some other code except that for language you could probably do something like that maybe???:D :D :D

I don't get it! I send this SMS to myself, but maybe it doesn't work this way? Anyway, M35i, v25, read the message by going to the Message menu, no problem. Then tried the Left button in the main screen, no problem again. So when and how does it freeze the phone?

For testing purposes: do not need to send as an SMS. Just write that message, save it, and try to open it... It works on my SL45v25 (means: make the phone displaying Wait icons forever, no button respons, need to take battery out).

But I wasn't satisfied :) Sending that message to friends is more interesting :) Especially if they are using C/M/S35 :) They must put them SIM card into the other phone ;)

Quotation marks? That explains it! Yep, that works. When I try to read the SMS, I get "Please wait", and the phone hangs.

Almost forgot... When I put in the double quotes, my phone freezes indeed. It's an M35i, version 25. I thought it wouldn't even shut down anymore, but it did after a while. I'm not sure that's because I pressed and held the red button a number of times, or if the phone shuts itself down. I can then turn on the phone again, and it works, but I still can't view the message. I don't think I can delete it. Going to try one of the phone managers.

another way to really crash an S45i (not only hang):

save an submit pdu type in the sm input folder. The phone
say's mööp and switches off. When you switch it on again a
few secounds later the same effect appears. To repair this
switch on your phone, and delete thie pdu immediately with
the computer.

but i don't know a way to send such a sm.

To crash siemens SL45,S45 :
if Siemens is with activated IR just send some picture from Nokia with IR.

I sent the "%English" to myself and my S45i hung... but when the report arrived, it continued to function and openned the sms.

Try to push off button couple of times fast..
I can make it turn off that way...
