How to flash a Samsung D980 - GSM-Forum

I have been trying to flash some D980 phones. I used the same downloader as with D880 and flashed the Master file. The phone worked fine, but when it had 2 SIMS inside it would hang.

I have been trying to upload the slave file and now this phone will not work. First I received an error when powering on the phone with 18000004 blinking on the screen and now the phone turns on with and keep the LCD black.

I'm trying to flash D980XCHJ3 and I have used both OneNAND Downloader 1.4 and OneNAND Downloader v0.5.

How to fix this phone and how to flash this model correctly?

try to revive your phone with flash & flasher , & if you need some specific lang i can upload it for you saturday .

ps : new hardware of D980 require new downloader not old downloader for D880 .

I keep having a problem with two units.

One gives this error

The other one, it flash fine, but when I power it on it shows D980 on the display and then turns off.

yes I have encountered this problem but it was during the conversion of a D980> D988 , and solved after using correct downloader and flashed >
BootGen_D988_V1_0x20000000[080312].cla
+
bpexec_D988_0x21D60000[080327_V25].bin

I do not know if the same problem for you

PS : HWK also is very good tool for this model . tested many times on D980/988 .

MR.Alla realy ur so nice man in forum but brother i have same problem in d980 when flash slave with downloder or any box fain in slave part ..and my mobile slave imei not complet i cant repairt it..i have 20 pcs same problem ..i have all box ustpro,nspro,downloader,z3x box,hwk but i dont have cable for hwk..plz can u sole my problem..

I did download the flash file for d980DBIB1 for Vietnam market but I dont know how to use the soft you upload here? can you tell me how to process? Many thanks

this message for all user .can any one prof that those make flash d980 master and slave part and sole problem hand with simcard.and repair salave imei can anyone tell me it posible or just thow this mobile ...coz i test this problem on all box all are lier i have ustpro2,nspro,z3x box,hwk,downloader but all are same..plz if any one know that how to sole this problem.that man is great in samsung.

hello frendz, im new to the world of samsung mobile flashing nd i havent used any kind of tools for samsung in the past...

i hav a samsung D980 which never starts-up....it shows '18000004' in red on the left side of the screen.

could u plz assist me to solve this problem....
