I have a SL45 version 54 ... I want to copy the AddressBook from my old MMC card 32 Mb to my new car 128 Mb ... I have a PQI card Reader/Writer that suport MMC and with this copy all the files that I need on MMC ... but after I copy the address book and want to useit on the phone I recevive thsi mesage :
" Address Book will be initialized "
... and the phone return to normal menu ... so I can not acces my numbers an I have about 325 entries on it ...
Pls can some one how I must do to make the functzion work corectely ... thx all , regards., alianu.

The problem is that Adessbook is hidden folder..

All You need is format new card in reader/writer, don`t insert it in phone, and simply copy all files and folders in to the new one

does fw54 support mmc 128MB?

I`m tired to ansver, that structure of data saving is same in16Mb, 32Mb, 64Mb, 128Mb, 256Mb, and 512Mb MMC`s. I mean that all MMC cards MUST working on SL4x..
Theotetically that size of MMC cards is possible up to 2Gb, but other question is that NOT ALL Company`s makes fully compatible cards, and trying modify it a little bit using.. That Problem was with SunDisk 128Mb cards, but now it`s Ok..

DjCook : the solution doesen't work ... I format the MMC card ... copy the data from the old one to the new one ... but still the same mesage " Address Book is being Initialized " and the return to normal menu ... if iI try to change the clock settings I can not do that ... the phone freez and I must power of by removing the battery ... if I put the new car into the phone and the flash the phone lets say with sw. 54 , and then power on the phone the address book menu is working ok ... buut I don't have the address that I need :)) ... so can you think to some solution ???

Donno what is going on with Your phone, but have You tried with another 128Mb Card?? You need to check it..
And whats about Your old MMC?? Is everything ok??

soo ... if I format the card then putit into the phone everything is ok ... I can youse the address book by adding new entries ... from now the card will work ok ... but If I try to copy my old address book files over the new one created when I power on the phon with the formated card inside, the message " Address Book is being Initialized " apears again ... every thing work just fine If I don't copy my old files ... I can put music or voices file on the card and will work 100% ... untill I copy the address files ...
My old cord works with the address file .. I didn't try anything with my old card couse I don't want to lose my address entries ...
