Lenovo A916 keep rebooting - help needed

Hi, I have had reboots before but never like this and always with several months to half year apart, but a couple of days ago my phone started rebooting if I touched something on the screen or in the menu. Of course I thought it were virus or malware that had infected the system or some faulty app that had done something to the ROM.

Therefore I got the stock ROM I had saved for just this scenario and another one I would try at some point:

Stock ROM: Lenovo_A916_USR_S1205_141013
Second one, without bloatware: A916_USR_S206_baralajbi

Both from www.needrom.com

And I flashed the phone with first A916_USR_S206_baralajbi - unfortunately this one has problem with the charging animation when the phone is off, a small issue but enough for me to go back to stock ROM.

So I flashed with stock ROM.

Unfortunately in both cases it did not solve the reboot issue, so now I'm a big question mark to what is the cause of this, and need some help figure it out.

Can it be the battery that suddently went dead?

Or can it be some other issue, like the ram being filled up and need to be zeroed out(read somewhere that this type of ram is not like HDD so not getting emptied just by deleting files, it will happened over time, when its overwritten)?

I really need some geniuses here, I'm in the Philippines right now until end of may, I really need my phone.

Hope someone here can help, i tried other forums but nobody responded - I hope it's better here. From what I read i this forum there are some people here that can do magic

Just try to find another, GENUINE battery, and test phone with it.

Lenovo phones have issues of this kind because of faulty battery.

Donate money to this user
Also. . Before changing battery : check firmware build number from recovery option it changed or not, if changed so change battery. If firmware not changed, so a problem is in eMMC ic hardware.

Hi guys, another one for the Solutions Corner, it was the battery - strange that "geniuses" at Lenovo couldn't come up with that!

Thanks for the suggestions.

It's already described in some of service bulletins,
althought is decribed for some other model(s),
it's general fault, like crappy Samsung batteries cause similar issues.

p.s. Thread moved to hardware section.
