Post How to Cope Without Invalid Setting IMEI Code Error

* What is IMEI?

IMEI is short for International Mobile Equipment Identity. IMEI is a unique code that each device has. Usually 15 or more digits. Each device has an IMEI number is not the same. To see your device's IMEI number, you can type * # 06 # key. Or you can see on the back of the device or usually attached to the sticker on the box of the device. IMEI numbers can not be changed altogether. Because it is the default of the factory / vendor that makes it. Therefore, IMEI itself has a special meaning that signifies the manufacturer, type hp and others.

* Get to know IMEI

Many countries have recognized the use of IMEI in reducing the effects of cell phone theft. IMEI (14 decimal digits plus check digit) or IMEISV (16 digits) includes information about the device's origins, model, and serial number. The IMEI / SV structure is set in 3GPP TS 23.003. The model and origin consist of the initial 8 digits IMEI / SV, known as the Type Allocation Code (TAC). The rest of the IMEI is the manufacturer set, with Luhn check digits at the end. For the IMEI format prior to 2003, the GSMA guideline is to have this Check Digit always transmitted to the network as zero. These guidelines appear to have disappeared for valid formats from 2003 onwards.
