try with/without sim inside it (from unsupported operator). may also be a faulty device :s

i tryed all, with and without sim, with accepted sim, with unaccepted sim, same problem

If it always shows unknown sim lock status whatever you put in modem or leave slot empty then something is not right with the unit.
