screen connector disconnecting from motherboard

Hi there,
I've finally got the knack of refurbishing screens, and now have
a small problem.

One screen won't snap into the connector on the motherboard; it seats but won't snap, & when I proceed to reassemble it loses it's connection.
The connector on the board is fine; I've ran a tooth brush over all

connectors but no difference.
I have seen a video where the person uses a small amount of B7000 glue
to lock it to the motherboard but don't know if that might cause issues
at a later date.
What do you experts do when faced with this issue?

regards,
gbsmiley

If you damaged the connector on the LCD flex you need to replace the connector. But its not an easy job and not really worth the work if its not ip8 or 8+ LCD. B7000 wont fix anything if the FPC is physically damaged! Thats not the right way of doing your work. If it has brogen FPC or bad joints the only way is to resolder a new connector on the flex. But for that job u need skills and good equipment. Not worth for an ip6 panel for example

The connector & the screen works, it just won't snap in place.
I'm talking about applying a small amount of B7000 glue to the side of
the connector when it's seated so it won't spring off at a later date.

The glue won't be touching any connections

@eselekt
No longer got phone, sorry no pics.
I've had similar issues with S5's when people have dropped phones & solved
that with kapton tape
