[18:12:46] -> Detect SPI starting ...
[18:12:46] -> CHIP ID: 00 C2 20 17 (MX25L6405D - 8 MB)
[18:12:46] -> Erasing SPI Chip(FULL-ERASE) ...
[18:12:46] -> Write data starting ...
[18:13:18] -> Write Completed. Results:
[18:13:18] -> Data: 6581504 bytes / 8388608 bytes (+27.46 % Speedup)
[18:13:18] -> Time: 32.39 s, avg speed: 203.22 KB/s
[18:13:18] -> Verifying data starting ...

Dear Sir,

According to this lines:
[18:12:46] -> Erasing SPI Chip(FULL-ERASE) ...
[18:12:46] -> Write data starting ...
The erase toke less than 1second, which means the mac protects the erase was protected by mac, and on SPI erasing you do not have a status check, only that if was finished. and finished erase to take less than one second it is a failed one.
In our newer version we implemented especially for casses like this an blank check option, which actually verify that the chip contains FF ( empty data ) after erase, and does not attempt to write the data
In our newer version we implemented especially for casses like this. We added "blank check" option, which actually verify that the chip contains FF ( empty data ) after erase commands, and does not attempt to write the data. If not empty is detected give you error and stops the process.

Thanks & Best Regards!

For the operation ,the image have been damaged inside. Have you already backup those info before it? If you have ,please write it back.

If you do not have ,please give us the picture of backside of the computer. We will try to find out the file for you to write it back.

Thanks & Best Regards!

I did this exactly. Read spi than clear iCloud and firmware lock. Saved the file. Tried to than sync gave error. Than write full SPI error again.

If I do detect spi box will detect the spi. To do the next operation I need to stop start the Mac application otherwise it won’t detect the chip.

I can send photo of the back no problem. Here or by email? Can you check the email I sent?

Thank you.

Backup File is 5mb
Photo is less than 1mb

Is it possible to understand why I need to reset the box after single operation I do ?

Hello,

We just released our 1.9.4F version, which include blank check option after erase.

https://hdb-team.com/support/#last-version

Please check and if the erase is not execute properly, and if the Blank Check fails, try this:

Let the mac bootup while pressing alt, enter an code in that screen, and then press power till computer goes to sleep. When sleeping attach the SPI adapter, HDBOX and then try. If computer wakes up at any time, remove SPI adapter, put to sleep and retry. Our Engineer did a 1708 with this trick, putting it to sleep from firmware lock screen.

Best regards,
HDBOX Support Team.
