first of all flash latest miui 9 global, via edl mode with xiaomiflash, then report back, i will guide you

okay but now you have installed miui 9 right? the problem is that phone still bootlooping ? right ? its that okay now try to enter recovery mode, if you can enter recovery mode the phone stays there, and you get no automatic reboot ? right ? let me know if you are on this step, if yes you are in the right path

hi ddlouco, like Jasurchik said, now all you have to do flash only the persist.img with uat via edl, you can find the img inside the images folder of the firmware you previously flashed, you can thank me later, br

if you tried to remove the mi acc in miui 10(not supported yet) then i suggest you to try again in miui 9, you already kno how to recover it in case bootlooping, i tested on redmi 5, haven't tested yet in redmi 5 plus, sry for my english, br
