Demo Series 3 Restored through on watch menu

So I managed to finally discover the special demo menu on the watch itself to do a factory data reset. This is a 38mm Series 3 Cellular.

So what do you do to get to that point? Not sure I believe this.

I didn't believe it either. That is why I started recording.

To be fully honest, I am still trying to figure out how I got to the menu. I was eating lunch and just fiddling with it not really paying attention.

I work at a retail store so my boss let me check this out to remove the demo unit(I remove the demo mode from all the store devices) and I managed to get to this menu and just did it.

I don't have another series 3 to try it out again but my boss is ordering another one.

I’d bet it’s not just in the series 3 if this is true. What types of things did you do?

Well I wouldn't know. I've tried to do such things with my series 2 watches but the ones my store got were demos that just replayed an image. They were restored with an iBus.

I did the usually press hard to activate 3D touch and whatnot with trying to swipe and stuff. The first thing that happened was a menu came up asking to switch between demo modes. It said wrist demo or fixture demo and then i think i pressed hard and swiped right and the full menu shown in the video appeared.

Dammit it should have recorded every time i played with it...

What app / menu were you on when it happened? Settings?

Honestly, couldn't have been something too specific because I can't recall.

Ok. I knew people wouldn't believe. Although there is another user on here that claims that this is possible. Like I said, I can hardly believe either, just sharing what I stumbled upon from just fiddling around. Once my store gets another watch I'll attempt to get it up again and record another video.

Just curious how you think I got a video of the hidden menu that clearly reset the watch. I would have showed that it was a demo unit running restricted apps etc but I didn't know how to get back. Clearly it says things like demo content will be removed.

I’ve got a ton of customers demo series 3 watches. I’ll try some more tomorrow. Tried tonight but I couldn’t get it up and I tried every single button on the thing. Maybe some sort of gestures. I definitely believe you @tradegon.

Thanks for the upload. I did the exact same thing on a watch last week (completely unintentionally as well). I also pressed down on the force touch. I think I pressed down and swiped a certain direction but I figured it was a fluke. I will also mess with some watches I have and see if maybe we can find a way to fix them.
