Did what you said. I’m using this watch as we speak but without cellular. It shows this on the Verizon checker, so I guess it will work..

Your checked device: APPLE WATCH S3 38 SIL AL DEMO

Device ID (IMEI)
359413080113089

Then it proceeds to tell me to select a plan to put on it.

I can't post links here (it wont let me) but go to google and search "iunlocker imei check" and go to that website. Enter the serial number there.

Your device has the following info:
Warranty Start Date 01.01.1985
Warranty End Date 01.01.1985

It is blacklisted.

Wait, your device shows blacklisted date but yet you’re able to get past the TOS and use without cellular?

No, he's saying that the Verizon website hasn't blacklisted it so Verizon is asking him to register the device for service when he uses their ESN checker. It will not activate as this is a server-side block similar to how you can't bypass an iCloud locked device.

Yes, I’m using it without cellular and it works just fine. I’d upload a picture, but can’t post links. Everything seemed to work fine.

Are you sure that the dates mess with it? Verizon normally lets you know if it’s blacklisted because it will say “Device Not Compatible”.

I looked up the system on the Vzw DMD backend and it doesn't appear to be set up like the regular watches. For example, it should not let you select a plan without an iPhone also in cart.

Would you be able to activate it on your plan just to see? You should get a waived activation fee and 3 months free if all is well and it is programmed as a Apple watch with Number Share.

I've now heard of a few able to be activated despite the rolledback dates. I wonder if there's another tell-tale way to determine whether or not an LTE can be activated ahead of time?

Take the order number of your iBUS and go to the “My Account” page, select iBUS S2, and then paste it and hit activate.
