iPhone 7 Screens works on iPhone 8 !!

Hi @all

I tried to put iPhone 7 LCD (OEM and not OEM = TM) on an iPhone 8.

Here's the result :

- The screen (LCD) and digitizer (touch) => OK
- TouchID function => OK
- Home button => OK

In order to boot the iPhone you will need to connect the front camera/earpiece/proximity sensor and the home button.

Otherwise the phone will stay/freeze on the Apple logo.

Mounting the front cam flex is possible on an iPhone 7 but the frame is a bit different so you can damage the light (truetone) sensor.

There's also a small difference on the upper part of the screen that makes impossible to mount an iPhone 7 screen on iPhone 8.

Enjoy the video (both French and English subtitles)

This is not very surprising! After all, the iPhone 8 and the Iphone 7 are very similar "design-wise". The applies to iPhone 7 Plus & iPhone 8 Plus.
