I have found a guide about iPhone x won't turn on, but it is the logic board repair not the DIY way. You can check How to fix iPhone x won't turn on with logic board repair, maybe you will get something from it.

Hi,

i think you need to follow this steps:

1- connect the mainboard to power supply and confirm if the phone booting or not.
2- if yes it is booting. confirm if the all function working. then
3- check the voltage on battery if below 3v try to charget externally.
4- if the battery volt is 3.6 or higher, connect the battery again and try to boot up.
5- if not boot up by battery, you need to check the tristar and
Note there is no need to RF layer to be conect with main layer to charge the battery. becuse all the need componants are located in main layer.
