R&D SL3 unlock - GSM-Forum

Some source stated that this is a patch unlock and can be relocked after FW update. I think it is an RPL patch, it writes the R&D hash to the secu zone so than it is on RD mode. Who can clarify this for me/us? i posted it to this forum because it is partially a development question, investigating the mechanism of the solution.

I want to understand the solution offered by Universal Box.

Customer support told me if end customers will update their FW the phone remains unlocked. Than it is an RPL patch as i said before. research and development key written in rpl.

Man right now Universal Box not offert nothing more then promisse that they give solution 6.12.2013 and with all other they promisse last year this can be true but 95% I sure this is fake and you will not see nothing after 6.12.2013 date.

Now write same Universal Box team
But untile now I not see nothing more then promisse that they give but after month, two nothing happen and that is 3 year from first promisse.

I think you should belive in something that you will see this on own eyes.

I will not buy with preorder, i want to see other proof than their videos. And what if they got a factory dongle to generate R&D keys? Maybe they can't generate full simlock rpl, but this R&D thing they can patch simlock data? Im optimist and want to believe, but ofcourse i will not throw away 149$ for nothing unreliable and unproven.

universal box is trustable 100% but probably will not release the solution, as it is with usb cable and cant be protected i think

the rd unlock by ub box is server based
you can see an atest server in video

Customer service told me after update new firmware the phone locked back
