free source released by mainly indear has been compiled with some **** logos, and put on sale for 250 euro!!!!!

this is not very profesional practices!

what you people think?

Why not professional? I use "free" calcs everyday and charge customers £10

Am I not professional? The last thing I want is every Joe Bloggs unlocking phones in his kitchen with "free" stuff. The longer he thinks it is expensive to unlock, the longer I have a job and an income.
People within my business know "what's what" and all the rest are customers, strangely enough I like customers

My opinion is PhoneVolts/GSM Solutions should be applauded not pilloried for keeping the business a business not a hobby. Just my opinion and probably totally worthless as usual

but to take someones source code,

these guys worked HARD, reversed Nokia and others, figured out algos. put their information free for public intrest.

then someone comes along, compiles the source code and sells for 250 euro?

surely this is wrong?

not sure how long you been in gsm mate, but it all began as a hobby. nothing to do with business. search some posts from 1999/2000 and see

I pre-date GSM, started with TACS back in '86 when it was all about the money

I'm sure they do but I'm more interested in giving value for money, rather than working hard and long for the public good

You never charge a customer if you've used something you got for free?

Anyway, as I said just my opinion, I guess we have to agree to differ here.
