Alcatel xg1 510 Network Locked - GSM-Forum

Hi Guys
I am in South Africa and some time back purchase this alcatel phone. It is locked on the CellC Network. I now need to use it on another network and can't. Guys want +-$10 to unlock it and the phone right now is only worth that much so its pointless paying that much.

Is there anyway to unlock it free of charge.

Much appreciated for any assistance

If you have a cable you can use e.g.: vygis cracked soft for it.

Unfortunately I dont have the cable.
I did see a program called universal simlock remover 1.1
I was wondering whether this program can assist.
Right now the reason I didn't download is is because its about 160MB and I dont have much bandwidth left so maybe if someone used this and know it works let me know. Also if this program works I would greatly appreciate it if someone could assist me and give me the unlock code. I would supply them with the IMEI number.

I allways unlocked this Alcatel only via cable.
I'm not sure if any free code calculator for Alcatel exist. I doubt.

This Universal.... working in 95% via cable. And most of present phones need software secured via hardware key so a bit expensive.
That's the reason you heard high price.(but in this case too high anyway)
