can someone ecplain to me how do i read akay and ssd with bitmip ?
i go to NV folder , but all i see are hex values ...
plz help

Do you mean BitPim? Also not sure what you mean by akay and ssd?

well
akey ,ssd_a and ssd_B are needed when replacing phone to work ... esn and number only wont work , thos fields needed as well.
and i dont think spc is anough to read this fields

O.K. after some research I learned quit abit. My apologies for being ignorant
of the question. I did contact one of the programmers involved with BitPim
and was told that the areas you seek are flagged unreadable. As I understand it BitPim will not access those areas nor will they make it able to.
Thanks for teaching me something.

hehe , thx for telling me its impossible with bitpim... i will have to search for another way :P
it is a shame that CDMA world is so hard to get in ....85% of what you want to learn is so hidden ... noone is sharing ... noone it seem like to help n00b's

anyone else can share or explain what do i need to read AKEY ,SSD_a and SSD_b fields from a phone ?
i do know i need a fectory password .... put phone in DM mode ...
is this password all separate me from reading this info ?

From some of the reading I did last nite I found that the SSD_b is not on the
phone. It is held at the network end. It is used to verify your cell is who it
says it is. Security and clone defeating is the whole purpose.

I simply want to access the firmware to see if I can activate or change several things on my phone that I hate. So far I have not found the info nor hardware that I seek.

Any help out there?

akey , ssd_a and ssd_b are security checksum from phone to provider antena ..
when you turn on your phone , sp check esn and phone numbers are match to details in sp , and also check the akey and ssd fields as security.
ssd and akey fields are culculate with esn , so you cant just change ESN only.
akay and ssd should be match with esn ..
