Issue with LG 6300

Hi,

I recently bought LG 6300. Since I use linux system (Fedora 13 to be precise) I am not been able to connect my phone via bitpim. Is there any way to I connect the phone to the PC (other than windows machine).

If windows is the only option, then I even tried to connect the same with windows 7 using the LG Sync (which came with the handset), but got the error as "No valid USB port", how to rectify this?

Thanks in advance!

Shankar

Thanks for the reply!

What is that lg tool talking about? Is it the same PC sync software which came with mobile? Or is there any other tool which work with lg cdma mobiles?

Resolved

Actually my main issue was I was unable to transfer files (mp3, pics) to my phone even though it has feature of hot plugging of memory card. Hence I tried bitpim. Finally I resolved the issue by creating folder named as USER and in this I created folder like MP3, SOUNDS, IMAGES etc and transferred contents to respective folders. Then the phone's music player/image viewer detected those files.
