3210 erase flash error - GSM-Forum

got a nokia 3210 v5.26 that i was going to updrade using dejan 1.00 and koci log so i backed it up with dark shell from 200000-400000, used atmel 16mb flash loader and 868 boot, came out ok so i started to write the 6.00 full to it (id made the file from another 3210 so addresses and flash are ok) but it comes ------------------------- loading boot loader.. flashID is 001F00C0 boot loader ready loading flash loader.... flash loader is ready erasing flash..... ------------------------- does that for a bit then get erasing flash error, sometimes get an address the eror happened at. obviously phone doesnt switch on, tried reading again with dejan and dark, flash is empty (00FF00FF) and the same happens with the original back up. ive tried using atmel 8 and 16 loaders, same thing. battery is full almost, tried another battery, tryed with charger connected, tryed all boots i have tryed a couple of flash loaders same thing happens when it gets to erase flash. any other ideas please? <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

You used wrong loader (backup has 00 and FF). Try another.

With loaders in Dejan you can write to 3210 but you wrong read.

And check your cable. If you haven't contact in VPP you cannot write, but read is OK.

thanks for reply, problem sorted. i had used atmel 16 read instead of write as f_loader <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">
