Idiot proof solution to repair any dead Nokia

Here is an idiot proof solution:
Example fuc*ed up 5110 with NO backup

Get a spare phone i.e 3210 make full backup from 0020000h to 0040000h and save MAKE SURE ITS NOT FF 00!!!

Download full flash for 5110 from web site:
http://www.yourmobile.org

and upload this full flash to your 3210 doesn't matter if its 5110 coz it will go straight in!!!

Now extract the Fuc*ed up sector that you managed to destroy (00260000h maybe) from the 3210 and save it (i.e 00260000 to 00270000, 64k) now flash this extracted file onto your 5110 and tadaaaa your phone should work 100%, but dont forget to reflash your 3210 with original flash which you should have saved!!!

Hope this helps!!!

[email protected]

ps if you replace sectors from 0020000 to 003d0000 this will NOT kill your EEPROM area and these regeons should be safe to play around in...just a thought!

Best regards...Bads

Hi
Sorry to all, but this is really stupid solution.
First I´d like to notice that full flash which will be use for dead phone repair has to be the same fw. version.
And why to flash it to another phone? I think it´s more easier and safety only to pick partial flash directly from fullflash using whatever hexeditor.

Regards

Hello, this is only useful if your not familiar with HEX Adresses, truncating a full flash that consists of full flash from 0020000h to 0040000h using just a HEX editor I find a bit confusing, how can you know the address 00260000 to 00270000 using just hex editor? But if you upload first to another phone and then download from addres 00260000 to 00270000 it makes it a bit easier...well for me anyway! Just thought id share it with you lot
