Question 3210 v6.00 Flash ID: 00898890

When I try to read flash in this phone I got message:

Loading Boot loader
Boot Loader is Ready
Flash ID: 00898890
Loading flash Loader
Flash Loader Init Error TX=0

When I try to flash the phone I got message:
Loading Boot loader
Boot Loader is Ready
Flash ID: 00898890
Loading flash Loader
Flash erasing error

I tryed with manny different f_loaders, but with no success..

I also noticed that other people have the same problem...

My conclusion is that we need another f_loader.

Is there anyone who successfully flashed Nokia with this kind of flash chip ? (it is Intel F160B3TA)

regards,
Boca

Hi,

I think you need special FLASHER+TDCRYPT security box to flash erase. You must have already flashed this nokia. So without this box you can't erase flash!

Tell me if I'm wrong...

hi. i' know this post is a little old, but i encountered the same problem. i have a 3210 v6 flash ID 00898890 that can't be read and, by mistake, i pressed F2. and flashed the phone. the area was correct (260000) but after erasing flash, i got this message:

flash status error

Now, my phone has a missing flash part and, of course, it won't power. anyone managed to solve this problem? can anyone send me or tell me which boot + f_laoder are correct? thanx

Hi all,
I had this problem too and i solved the problem by just replacing the 100ohm resistor by one of 390ohm.
Doing this you can deliver more current to the vpp pin to enable reading/writing flash.
The tia file that i used was the one that winflasher uses for Intel 3210 phones.
Try this and tell me something.

Bye,
William

Hi Skippy,

Replacing 100 ohms resistor with 390 ohms will deliver less current...not more, since current is inversely proportional to the resistance.

Maybe you mean replacing it with 39 ohms. Or paralleling 100 ohms with 390 ohms resistor..

neb

Hi neb,
You are right what i ment was that if i replace the 100ohm resistance by one of 390 ohm the circuit will deliver less current to the vpp pin and deliver more current to the pin 14 of the IC.
Because that was happenning to me with some 3210 v6 phones, so the first time it happened to me i used external power to the vpp pin and it worked fine, after that i replaced the 100ohm resistor and it works fine with all 3210 v6 that i tried to unlock.
Sorry about the current stuff!

Bye,
William

Hi Everyone

The original Dejan Diagram Says 100 Ohm Resistor, this should be 500 ohm resistor as our protege Zulea does in his diagram for cables for Nokey, this will limit current to VPP and avoid damage.

Regards to All
Charlie

PS it been a long time Neb since I heard that line (Collage 15 years ago)

sorry for the delay... i only had time to visit the forum now. but my problem was solved 5 minutes after the posting thanx for those who cared. since i'm using external power (5V) a 470 ohm resistor which was the one i was using, was way two low... so i upped it to 2k and now it works 100%... well 99% - still can't read those damn ATMEL flashes

once again, thanx

Dark lemming, your external power supply, do u use batt or adapter ?..
and also do u use the 78l05 regulator ..

and if u have any kind of diagram (or some written descriptions) is it possible to post, or e-mail then to me ..?

Hi Micklong

Dont use power supply too much ripple use a 9V battery into a 7805 and output of 7805 to pin "14!!!" only 14 OK

You can use a power supply but you will need
extra circuitry to smooth AC.

Regards
Charlie

Cause I have exact same fault but I havent added 5v supply yet.
Or did u use full flash ??
