3210 *water damaged* no reception - GSM-Forum

i managed to grab a hand onto a 3210 with was slightly water damaged. the condition of the phone is still great and i was still able to turn it on and use everything but one problem is there is no reception.

at one time, i took off both the front and back casing and managed to find 1 block of reception for approx 10sec. this shows that the phone still works?

can anyone help? thanks

after a bit more testing, now whenever i turn on the phone, i get 1 block of reception for around 5 sec and then it loses reception.

i goto manual selection of network and it manage to list all the network available but when i choose my home network, it says "no access"

please help!

open your phone and clean everything with alcohol or contact cleaner spray. than phone should work again.

even clean the legs of ICs and PCB with alcohol?

is that the right stuff to use?
