3310/8210 unlocked but........ - GSM-Forum

hi guys

i recently unlocked a 3310 ver 4.18 and 8210 (dont remember the ver.) using dejan progy ,for couple of people but now they R complaining that they can not send or recieve text message any idea how i can able the texing?

It is not the unlocking that has caused this they probs got different sim card and need to put the new message centre number in settings for messages

thanx 4 your reply.but one of them (3310)told me that she could send text massage with her sagem? if 4 argument sake she has lost that option(sending text)how can we add this option to her phone? has anybody else on this forum had simmilar problem?

To send SMS messages, every phone needs to know what SMSC number to send it to (sms centre that handles the sending of sms) In 3310 you go to message menu, then options. Then goto "set 1" (called this way in dutch, don't now if it's the same in english) here you enter the smsc number. This number varies, depending on what provider you are using. Enter the correct number and it should work....if not, also change the number in "set 2"....this should work. If it doesn't, read the manual
