Dear Bros,

I have 3310 with strange problem, it gets power on automatically when putting the battery and shuts off after sometime or by pressing the power button and it cannot be pwred on by pressing the pwr buttonm. the battery should be removed and put in back for it to get pwr on automatically.

I tried by flashig and good working full flash and no result problem remains.

Can any body help me to solve the problem

Thanx a lot

OK
I think it could be a power swich problem , check the pathway of the power-sw and the Sw itself , if U need further informations U'll get it from the old posts

Actually I doubt that U checked the power sw track throughly , by the use of a mutimeter did U checked resistance aross power-Sw, and through C400 , and V414 ?
Also did U checked the keypad Nos ( 3 , up , and down ) to ground ?
Also did U checked R224 to Ground ?
If complet those mesures , and cleans the board very well , there will be nothing elss than Ccont !!

GoodLuck
Br

I think like Medz said the power button is defective (must be changed) but in some cases if the phone is water damaged You should check R402,C400.Get a service manual and find them.Regards JOE.

@akfrm..

Search the matter U'r looking for 1st , save the result page as an html file , them goto each thread , the important one , save it as text file to reduce the space and downloading time .

hi

well, test this on a new phone : remove battery, press power key down and hold, insert battery, u see the phone will turn on, right ? do not release power key, hold it down, now press any key, u would see the phone will turn off and won]t power on again, u have to remove battery,
now u can guess what happen to your cell phone. somewhere on mainboard or power switch itsef has been shorted.

have fun

Some times the presence of any residuals of cleaning ,dirty ,liquids , some times the flux it self . all of that formes a resistance across the power sw , that makes it not shorted and not normally acting.
Just raise it , rassemble the phone , then put the battery.
