3310 board SHORT - GSM-Forum

HI,,
I have a 3310 with short showing on the +ve and -ve battery points, i have removed PA and checked but the prob still there.

any tips please

is that drop damaged or water damaged!!! before u removed any parts and IC must checked first if there is any burnt or shorted on the board...
based on my exp.. if tester meter showing that phone is shorted yes that correct fisrt removed PA..
2nd: removed keypad IC.. still shorted...
3rd: replaced power IC...

If you replace the CCont(Powe Ic)This problem will be fixed.
Tried works in many cases.

check the resistor on Possitive ways, it can be short on it

Take off PA, check there are no shorts under it..

Still short, take off CCONT, check under it,

then take off CHAPS,

If problem fixed, replace the IC's

If not, its a guessing game on what to take off next..

If u have replaced all above and still is short circuiting Finally replace the Cobba.Some time it creates short circuiting as well if it is demaged or wrongly heated.

hi! i need help. i accidentally made a 3310 board shorted. i tried to solder a lead from the positive part of the switch to the Resistor R402 but a big ball of lead made R402 and Capacitor C400 to connect each other. the board got shorted. i don't know what to do. help!
