Hi,
The phone as DMD says must be blacklisted (Blocked from a particilar network due to the phone being stolen or if you have done an insurance job on it). You can solve this problem by downloading B-Phreaks EEProm Tools 3.1 and changing the IMEI number (Note this is illegal in some countries).

To do this connect your MBUS cable to the serial port of your computer and the other end to the phone.
Switch the phone on.
Click in the box which marked manual and a small window will appear with your current IMEI in it. Click in the box and alter one of the numbers (Eg. if it starts with 3501 edit it to 3506).
When you have done that press ok and click on the button with a picture of a chip on it (On the bottom third from the left)
When the status bar at the bottom say IMEI successfully updated disconnect the phone and retry the sim in the phone.
It should now allow the sim to register.

If it doesnt redo the above but change another number.

If it still doesnt work check the sim in another phone as it may be the sim that is blocked and not the phone in which case get a new sim card.

Hope that helps,

Rebels Advocate.

If you have any more problems or you would like a copy of EEProm Tools email me at: [email protected]

In the UK and America blacklisting is used. Im not sure about other countries but its worth trying what i spoke of previously in case it is an imei problem or your country does use blacklisting.

You can always repeat the process but enter you IMEI number from the phones sticker if you want to restore it and its worth a try before you change your sim card.

@junoon

Are you from Thailand ?

If so you'll have to change IMEI since Thailands mobile operaters have total monopoly and they decide what phones comes in to the country and they set only certain ranges on IMEI numbers allowed on their network as a remember from the time I worked there, correct me if I'm wrong

Change on IMEI numbers is BIG business in Thailand at that time, dont know if they still do it?

Regards

Hi Junoon,

If you are from Thiland as Coolhawk suggests you could be then it may be advisable to go see a friend copy down his / her IMEI number and then use the method above to change yours to a very similar number only changing one number. Thus you would be working within the IMEI range of the service providers in Thiland.
